The Jerusalem Institute and the JMC International School attended a conference on cultural heritage and BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology at Hochschule Mainz, Germany. The conference, hosted by Prof. Piotr Kuroczyński, head of the School of Architecture, marks a potential collaboration with the Hochschule, including a joint summer study tour for students from Economics and Accounting, Management, Inclusive Industrial Design, and Photographic Communication, in cooperation with the Architecture Departments at Hochschule Mainz and the University of Fulda (subject to a DAAD grant).
It was especially moving to see the interest of European researchers in Jewish heritage and the preservation of ancient synagogues, as well as to be in a city so deeply connected to the roots of Eastern European Jewish culture.
